Greetings, SIG 10 Affiliates!
I hope the publication of our October Perspectives finds you entrenched in an exciting and productive fall semester! This issue focuses on active learning through increasing clinical discourse, using popular media to augment classroom instruction, using collaborative student work, and teaching doctoral students to be effective teachers. Kudos to Ana Claudia Harten, SIG 10’s Perspectives editor, for her hard work bringing these papers together for our affiliates.
I also want to take the opportunity to update you about SIG 10’s American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention planning. As a result of collaborations with our affiliates, SIG 10 will offer two exciting learning opportunities for those interested in teaching and learning at this year’s Convention. We’re hoping to pack the house and engage in dialogue that will be thoughtful and enlightening for all attendees!
