Create your own ASHA Convention schedule online (http://professional.asha.org)! I tried it, found many selection options, and was able to build a schedule to suit my needs. I selected for all days and used “Education and Training” as a topic. There were 123 selections! Title, author(s), time and place, and an abstract accompany each. The scheduler notes when sessions are in conflict so you know the choices you’ll have to make! I spent approximately 45 minutes going through the list, but I selected them all and ended with 61 pages of print!
Note these special sessions: (a) the Division 10-sponsored Short Course (SC11), “Teaching With Cases: An Interactive Opportunity for Professionals” by Roberta DePompei, Fri., 8–11 am; (b) a Short Course (SC21) (extra fee), “Using the Case Method of Instruction in Professional Training” by Jim McNutt, Sat., 8–11 a.m.; and (c) a Division 10-sponsored session, “The Millennial Learner: Challenges and Opportunities” by Saundra Y. McGuire, Fri., 2-3:15 pm. See you there!
