Special Interest Division 10, Issues in Higher Education is a reality—the result of Legislative Council action at the 1996 ASHA Convention in Seattle. The division can now move forward with the important work to be done, work that will serve each of us and our constituents.
We are hopeful this newsletter will serve as a vehicle for the exchange of information and ideas from across the spectrum of higher education in communication sciences and disorders. Allow us to introduce ourselves…
Noma Anderson(nanderson@fac.howard.edu) is associate professor and department chair in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She has coauthored three books: How to Prepare for the NESPA (with Kay Payne), Multicultural Perspectives in Communication Disorders (with Robert Screen), and Clinical Series 12: Preschool Language Disorders (with Dorian Lee-Wilkerson and Shelly Chabon).
