ASHA’s Asian-Pacific Islander Caucus is an organization that strives to increase sensitivity, awareness, and support of API issues within audiology, speech-language pathology, and related professions. Our goal is to promote the professional role of audiologists, speech- language pathologists, and related professionals in working with people from API backgrounds. We also aim to provide a professional and/or social platform for API issues within the professions and training programs.
API membership is open to audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and students. We also welcome professionals in related/allied disciplines with an Asian-Pacific Island background and/or those who have contributed to the advancement of research and quality of services for the API population.
