It is that time of year again. The ASHA Convention is right around the corner, and many of us are scrambling to get posters and handouts ready, wondering why we ever decided to submit them back in March! While you are madly putting together your own presentations, please be aware that your Division 10 is sponsoring a number of exciting and relevant presentations.
The Division-sponsored Short course, entitled “Problems in CSD Education: Using Polarity Management to Effect Change,” presented by Paula McGuire and Barbara Shadden, will be offered Sat., Nov. 17, 8:00–11:00 a.m. Attendees will learn about the Polarity Management (PM) model and how it can be used to identify barriers that impede cooperation and collaboration with and across CSD programs. Understanding and applying PM strategies will increase attendees’ ability to distinguish between problems that can be solved and those that cannot, and how to effectively manage unsolvable problems. Affiliates can attend this and other select division-sponsored Short Courses at a reduced rate (for details, go to www.asha.org/about/events/convention/program-courses/ShortCourses.htm).
